C.V.

PROFILE

I, Tini Pinto, am a ceramic artist. I am a trained studio potter and a self taught sculptor. My primary focus is on wheel thrown ceramics. I am proficient in precision wheel thrown functional ware with an emphasis on surface decoration. I push the envelope with altering thrown pieces, by cutting, carving, piercing and hand building, to create functional ware that is also highly decorative. I have taught myself glaze mixing and firing, I  fire at cone 6 oxidation in an electric kiln.
