I, Tini Pinto, am a ceramic artist and a trained studio potter. My primary focus is on wheel thrown ceramics. I am proficient in precision wheel thrown functional ware with an emphasis on surface decoration. I push the envelope with altering thrown pieces, by cutting, carving, piercing and hand building, to create functional ware that is also highly decorative. I have taught myself glaze mixing and firing, I fire at cone 6 oxidation in an electric kiln.
